Nate Burner, head chef and owner of Merch’s Vegan, began his vegan culinary journey 8 years ago after learning about what processes are used in our current food industry and the mistreatment of animals that simply doesn’t NEED to happen. While his journey began in alliance with the animals, it has not stopped the innovation and creativity from being developed. Nate’s experience in the kitchen has been carefully cultivated and self taught for well over a decade, pushing boundaries and expanding his pallet after committing his life and practices to an all vegan path. “I can honestly say that before going vegan I must have eaten the same handful of meals on repeat, since then I’ve become much more diverse in what I eat and prepare. Experimenting at home and coming up with new recipes or variations of classics that taste just like I remember, but better, and all without the use of animals.
